Entering our 40th season, we are fortunate to have excellent relationships with retail nurseries and garden centers located throughout much of Northern California including Tahoe and Reno.
Growing facility and sales office is located in the Sonoma Valley.
*Job Description*
In spring and summer you would work as a sales account representative, selling plants to buyers at retail nurseries and garden centers.
As sales rep, you would develop strong ties with existing buyers, building loyalty and trust.
There is no cold calling.
The work involves managing the sales order process from contacting customers all the way through invoicing and setting up the delivery schedules.
The work takes place in an office and requires engaging with customers by phone, text and email.
The day's sales activities follow a rhythm, with a beginning, middle and end.
The work can be high paced and intense, especially in spring.
You would be working with a close-knit team both in the office and the field.
Once the peak sales season has passed, you would shift from sales operations to work related to planning for the following season such as sales analysis, ordering materials for the new season and other preparation.

Friendly and engaging, you are at ease speaking with people on the phone.
You thrive in a structured work environment and are detail-oriented with good follow through.
You consider yourself dependable with reliable work habits.
You are comfortable working with a computer and computer applications.
*Work Experience*
You are keenly interested in horticulture and the nursery trade.
You simply enjoy being around plants and have a good knowledge of them and their application to the landscape.
You've had experience working in retail or wholesale nursery operations or perhaps in the landscape trade and are ready to take the next step in your career.
*Skills*
* Fluent English speaker
* Excellent with verbal communication
* Engaging phone manner
* Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel
* Some graphics ability with InDesign is a plus.
* Plant knowledge and interest in horticulture
* Can comfortably sit or stand for an extended time
*Compensation*
Hourly rate is $40 per hour.
Plus, you would receive two weeks of paid time off.
