ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Sonoma Raceway Ticketing Sales Internship is a paid promotional internship position in the Ticketing department that will provide a role working with and running aspects of the ticketing sales side of Sonoma Raceway.
This team is responsible for all aspects of the consumer ticketing relations from sales, customer service, operations, logistics, and database management on multiple platforms.
This internship will focus on all areas to provide a fully rounded experience in event ticketing operations and allowing direct responsibilities in sales management, reporting and team goals.
In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities of this specific role, all Sonoma Raceway interns will be required to submit a group project and presentation for Speedway Children’s Charity in the culmination of the program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Superior verbal/written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as in team environments
The position requires ability to work nights and weekends
Position may require occasional travel through Speedway Motorsports workshare program to other facilities to support other events
Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a four-year College/University or post-graduate program.
Passionate about sports, motorsports and/or event operations.
High integrity and confidentiality, be able to approach strangers and interact in a natural conversation.
Result-oriented and creative in program development; innovative thinker and self-starter with the ability to self-manage once assigned tasks and responsibilities.
Possess strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, written, and verbal skills and able to take initiative to reach out to other staff members for information and details regarding assigned projects.
Desire to learn new skills and be a strong member of the team.
Must be polite, courteous, and treat all consumers respectfully regardless of the situation while treating the company assets with care at all times.
PAY RATE:
$15.
50 Hourly
