About the role:
Sunlight is hiring an experienced, innovative Business Development leader to help accelerate Sunlight’s growth and lead our Core/Enterprise sales team.
This teammate will directly support our largest Enterprise accounts and manage a team of top account managers.
Success will be achieved by delivering creative solutions to our installers and using market feedback to improve our offering.
You will report directly to the Head of Solar Business Development.
The right candidate will not only have strong interpersonal and organizational skills to grow partners and develop direct reports but also have a strategic mindset to deliver unique solutions for our partners and recommend growth strategies for the business.
What you will be doing:
• Lead and inspire our sales and account management team.
• Manage existing and create new partnerships with Enterprise solar installers.
• Track metrics to evaluate and accelerate partners’ growth.
• Work cross-functionally to implement program enhancements.
• Communicate Sunlight’s process improvements to our partners.
• Be the “voice of the customer,” loud and clear.
• Help our partners address challenges large and small.
The little things count.
• Be our “boots on the ground.
” Collect market intelligence.
Note: This role can be filled CA, TX, UT, FL, NC
• Track record managing and building sales/account management teams.
• 6-10 years in sales and/or account management, including experience managing multiple business to business accounts.
• Proven ability to develop and grow channel partnerships.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize.
• Experience with CRM required.
• Residential solar experience strongly preferred.
In-home sales experience desired.
• Able to excel while working remotely and independently.
A self-starter.
• Demonstrated commitment to mission-driven work.
• Background in consumer finance is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
