Terrific Director of Development position with a highly regarded think tank in San Francisco, CA.
The Director of Development will be responsible for developing and executing strategic fundraising plans from various funding streams including individual giving, as well as, foundation, corporate, and government grants .
The Director will also manage a portfolio of major gift donors capable of giving $50,000+.
This role will manage and mentor a team of fundraising professionals.
Candidates should have 10+ years of fundraising experience including 5+ years in a leadership role.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
This role operates on a hybrid schedule and is based in the San Francisco, CA area.
Salary is $171,200 to $214,000 per year, based on experience.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement fundraising strategies for individual, foundation, corporate, and government donors
Create and establish annual fundraising goals; ensure goals are met and exceeded
Manage a portfolio of major gift donors capable of giving $50,000+
Collaborate closely with board members to gain new donors and prospects, as well as, increase board member giving
Execute special events and campaigns
Manage and mentor a team of fundraising professionals
Qualifications:
Approximately 10+ of years relevant fundraising experience, including 5+ years a leadership role
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
Demonstrated track record of closing 5+ figure major gifts
Capable of building strong relationships with donors and prospects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
