Job Title: Manager, Corporate Communications Company: Prologis A day in the life: We’re looking for a talented and strategic communications professional who brings creativity, experience, executive presence, and collaborative nature to their work.
The manager plays an important role in the company, directly supporting key company initiatives, executive communications as well as media and community relations.
As part of the Global Corporate Communications team, this is a unique opportunity to create and execute communications campaigns to reach, educate and influence key audiences about our business portfolio, talent & innovation, sustainability and thought leadership.
The successful candidate must have a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across the company and work collaboratively with people at all levels.
This person will also have the confidence and demonstrated experience building strong relationships with media, vetting, recommending and submitting for speaking engagements and award opportunities, and developing and pitching stories that advance business objectives and grow brand awareness.
They will also have demonstrated experience with outside-the-box PR thinking and strategies as well as track campaign performance and leverage data and insights to inform future campaign strategies.
Key responsibilities include: Support company milestones and initiatives through earned media, speaking engagements, awards and rankings opportunities, etc.
Help create tailored campaigns at the national and local levels that support business priorities and goals.
Develop communications materials (blog posts, press releases, advisories, talking points, briefing books) for executives and our regional leaders.
Secure coverage in various media outlets including print, broadcast & social media.
Contribute to executive communication work, including preparing event and media briefings.
Understand company’s approach to tracking, monitoring and measuring media coverage.
Collaborate with Marketing on paid media campaigns and content creation, as well as speaking engagement activities, including recommending spokespeople and content, prepping executives, coordinating with event organizers, and tracking results.
Support and contribute to the external communications team as a go-to utility player.
Building blocks for success: Required: 5+ years of relevant experience in media/PR.
Excel in understanding the media landscape and how newsrooms work.
Have excellent writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with maturity and confidence in working with colleagues at all levels, including executives.
Bring strong organizational skills along with relationship building and time management skills.
Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take direction from multiple stakeholders; balance numerous projects simultaneously; and prioritize deadlines.
Be willing to pitch in and help the team on all projects to meet critical deadlines.
Be able to work independently - but confident enough to ask for guidance and input when needed.
Preferred: Experience in Public/Community Affairs, PR agencies, Real Estate/Commercial Development, Energy or Sustainability is a plus.
Hiring Salary Range of: $115,000 - $140,000.
Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
