Capital Campaign Consultant Request for Proposal
Community Forward SF is searching for a fundraising professional or team of professionals with experience leading and closing a capital campaign for the purpose of acquiring and renovating a building.
The Capital Campaign Consultant(s) will join our small but mighty development team of four led by our Chief Impact Officer.
The goal of the campaign is to raise $48 million for the acquisition and rehab of San Francisco’s first full-service Women’s Center, a proven model adopted from cities like Los Angeles.
With extensive press and governmental support already in place thanks to years of advocacy and work done by the Community Forward team as well as community partners, the Capital Campaign Consultant will primarily focus on cultivating relationships with private funders with a goal of securing $10 million in private donations toward the building purchase and renovation.
With many materials already completed, an existing capital campaign committee, and prospective donor conversations well underway, the consultant(s) will be jumping in to support existing efforts and help bring professional guidance to the fundraising process.
The Community Forward leadership team has a track record of executing large capital projects, expanding programs at a national and international level, and doing so with small, agile and talented teams.
Our goal is to identify the right partner or partners who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are willing to think outside the box from traditional fundraising approaches.
Key offerings we are looking for in your proposal:
Interview key members of the Community Forward leadership team, staff, board, capital campaign committee, and donor network to gain insight and establish the feasibility of the campaign’s fundraising goals
Coordinate closely with Community Forward’s development team and executive team to ensure execution of a capital campaign strategy
Provide insight and help us expand our donor prospect list
Update our case study and other materials as needed to communicate campaign goals and impact to the broader community
Bring a balance of fun, focus, and ambition to help our team achieve something amazing for women in San Francisco
