The AppDynamics Marketing Team is looking for a strategic problem solver and storyteller who loves to build compelling content and deliver outstanding customer marketing to join our team to own the content strategy and improve our customer engagement initiatives.
What You’ll do Demand Generation Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute multichannel demand generation programs to drive high-quality leads and pipeline growth.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align demand-generation initiatives with overall business goals.
Develop, implement, and optimize demand generation campaigns and Implement data-driven strategies to optimize lead conversion and accelerate the sales cycle.
Event Planning and Execution: Lead the planning and execution of industry events, trade shows, conferences, and virtual events.
Manage end-to-end event logistics, including budgeting, vendor relationships, and on-site execution.
Evaluate and recommend new event opportunities to increase brand visibility generate leads and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align event strategy and execution with key partners.
Team Leadership: Build and lead a successful demand generation and events team.
Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to team members, encouraging a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Collaborate with other marketing leaders to ensure alignment and alliance across all marketing functions.
Metrics and Reporting: Define key performance indicators efforts and regularly analyze and report on the success of campaigns and events, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Work closely with analytics teams to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
Provide dashboards and reports monthly, quarterly, and annually that summarize executive highlights as well as opportunities for change.
Who You'll Work With The AppDynamics Marketing team works with cross-functional teams regularly with Cross-functional Marketing Teams, Product Management and Sales.
Who You Are The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing demand-generation strategies and coordinating the planning and execution of high-impact campaigns and events that drive qualified leads, opportunities, and revenue.
This role requires a strategic problem solver with a consistent record of driving measurable results for high-growth enterprise software and services businesses.
Strong logical and analytical thinking Strong program management skills Strong written and oral communication skills Takes ownership and demonstrates pride in their work Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA is a plus.
10+ years of experience in B2B demand generation and event marketing, with a focus on enterprise software (particularly for technical and business decision-makers).
Shown success in developing and executing comprehensive strategies.
Strong leadership skills with experience leading and developing hard-working teams.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Strong budgeting and reporting capabilities.

For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses.
Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target.
Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components.
For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%.
Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target.
Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
