As Senior Director, Product Marketing, you will lead the Product Marketing function for the Platform and Conversation Intelligence product offering at Gong and play a key role in equipping our customer-facing teams with everything they need to win our market.
This position reports to our SVP, Product Marketing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Narrative, Messaging and Positioning: craft and optimize positioning and messaging (including market, company, platform, product, and competitive positioning) for your line of business to equip sales teams to close deals, support successful product launches, and deploy through all market-facing communication touch points (website, sales messages, SDR, content, etc.
)
Deep Product Expertise: foster a meaningful relationship with Product leadership; maintain a deep understanding of our current product and product plans; lead the creation, design, and enablement of product demos; and ensure that all PMM work is guided with intimate knowledge of our products
Sales & CS Enablement: equip our sales teams to win more deals with messaging, sales strategies and plays, materials, tools, and market knowledge, with the aim of increasing close rates, competitive win rates, decreasing sales cycle length, increasing ACV
Content Strategy: work with our Corporate Communications and Content teams to craft a content strategy that addresses each part of the buyer’s journey, online and offline, from awareness to decision
Thought Leadership: build event presentations, write compelling articles, and brief decision makers, all in an effort to solidify our position as the thought leader and the undisputed Revenue Intelligence leader
Partner Ecosystem and Integrations: work with corporate development to determine opportunities and joint GTM plans for strategic technology partners
Partner Enablement: ensure our partners and channels are equipped with the materials, training, and support they need in order to succeed in selling Gong
Competitive Landscape: gather, analyze, and respond to competitive intelligence, including win/loss analysis, in a timely manner that keeps our customer-facing teams confident and educated on how to articulate how Gong is better and why we’re winning
QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years of product marketing experience in B2B enterprise software (SaaS experience preferred) with a strong, demonstrable focus on messaging and positioning
Proven success building, developing and leading PMM teams of 5 or more
Ideally, experience at a company that has grown ARR from zero to $100M+
Passionate about providing an exceptional customer experience
Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, and well-organized
A strong team player but still a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth start-up environment
A self-driven, high energy leader with excellent cross functional collaboration skills
Excellent presentation and communication skills
