Position Summary: This position will be responsible for creating major donor written and digital engagement communications, developing consistent, accurate and appropriate information-sharing mechanisms for the cultivation and stewardship of prospects and donors, and ensuring that donors are provided with impactful communication and storytelling.

Essential Functions:
Drafts, edits and produces digital and hard copy donor stewardship and cultivation communication materials, including pamphlets, monthly newsletters, marketing pieces, promotional materials and "one touch" informational communications; collaborates with development stakeholders, including Leadership Gifts, Foundations and Planned Giving on all engagement communication projects; provides writing and editorial support for donor stewardship communications efforts, such as stewardship plans and letters; helps identify strategic list segmentation for communications distribution
Manages electronic communications through Marketing Cloud email system; working with staff in the Product Division to update and maintain Development web pages including Planned Giving and major donor groups; works with patron events coordinator to create and deploy follow-up emails and surveys to event attendees.
Produces monthly major donor e-newsletter (Go Public); manages the overall production process including identifying themes for each issue; recommending topics and number of articles to be included; collecting and organizing information and materials, including content and images; writing copy, coordinating design and production, and routing for approval; and distributing via Marketing Cloud.
Knowledge/Experience Required:
Experience in non-profit communications or public relations, media relations, communications, advertising or marketing or public broadcasting.
Experience in fundraising/development(annual fund or major gifts) a plus.
Excellent writing and storytelling skills.
Copy editing experience and adherence to AP editorial style guidelines.
Strong research skills, and the ability to analyze content and audiences.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and project-management skills including prioritizing and effective time management.
Ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders across the organization.
A high level of digital fluency required.
