Interact with customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, handle all transactions including sales orders, invoices, credits, etc.
Recommend products to customers, based on customers’ needs and interests Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, product uses Quote standard prices; identify and get approval from Sales Manager for pricing strategies for individual accounts Provide ongoing account support: understand customer needs, direct resources as needed, resolve account problems Provide customers with product samples Monitor sales activity (sales goal, volume, trends, history for each account), analyze activity and prepare reports for Sales Manager Conduct in-store visits to provide face-to-face time and visual assessment of store Monitor market conditions, and competitors’ products, prices, and sales Qualifications 2 years of experience in sales or customer service Produce industry experience required, retail produce experience a plus Knowledge of produce varieties and seasonality Appreciation for the principles of sustainable agriculture and the value of organic produce Comfortable with office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook Must have a valid driver’s license and be an insurable driver Physical Requirements Ability to lift 55 lbs with assistance Job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people Ability to filter out extraneous noise while on the phone Job requires constant work on computer Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time Must be able to travel on occasion, work nights and weekends several times a year Schedule Firm start time of 7am daily Three (3) month training period: 100% on site, in office Monday through Friday After training: Full-time schedule may include one (1) weekend day; In-office three (3) days, remote two (2) days Benefits Health and dental, plus life insurance and long-term disability Reimbursement program for vision, acupuncture, massage, and chiropractor, plus yoga and gym Employee Assistance Programs for counseling at low, or no cost 401(k) plan with 4% match in socially responsible mutual funds Section 125 pre-tax Cafeteria plan (FSA) Referral bonuses up to $5k Flexible holiday and leave policies Infant support benefits Commuter reimbursement Free organic meals and snacks Lost cost access to organic fruits, vegetables, and fresh juices Boot reimbursement for warehouse staff and drivers Incentives for voting in elections Extensive in-house training program Job Type Full-time Salary Range $64,500 – $72,000 / annually Ready to join our team?
