Lodge at Marconi is looking for a highly motivated Catering Sales Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate should have experience in the hospitality and catering sales industry, possess strong customer service and organizational skills, be a team player, and have a knack for developing new business.
Compensation:
$70,000 + Bonus
Responsibilities:
Ensures that events and rooms progress seamlessly by following established procedures, collaborating with other employees, and ensuring accuracy.
Acts as liaison between the hotel salesperson and customer throughout the event process (pre-event, event, post-event) including group room blocks and meeting space for assigned groups.
Participates in customer site inspections and assists with the sales process as necessary.
Delivers excellent customer service throughout the customer experience and encourages the same from other employees.
Oversees the customer experience from file turnover through the post-event phase until turnover back to sales.
Coordinates and communicates event details both verbally and in writing to the customer and property operations.
Solicits feedback from the property departments to identify areas for improvement to enhance the Event Planner’s experience.
Meet or exceed established revenue and room night goals by selling meeting/event space and food and beverage for the SMERF market.
Analyzes trends and competitor information, and segments to help identify opportunities for growth.
Effectively manage client relations-coordinates any changes necessary to the team.
Flexibility in the work schedule is a plus.
Qualifications:
Highly organized with strong communication skills and a teamwork style to carry out goals.
Must be willing to work on property.
Must be able to establish professional relationships within the hotel and manage confidential information.
