The Opportunity: Your role at Sephora: As a Retention Marketing Intern, you will join a team of marketers to drive and deliver the Sephora Retention Team’s business goals and objectives.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will assist Sephora’s high-performing Retention Marketing channels, inclusive of Email, Direct Mail, and Mobile Messages (App Push, SMS).
The ideal candidate has a strong familiarity or expertise of the channels, and an ability to manage multiple initiatives with a high level of collaboration, strong attention to detail and a proactive spirit.
Each day at Sephora is different with new opportunities to realize, problems to solve and tasks to tackle, but here is an idea of some of the things you will work on: Develop a strategy focused on identifying opportunities for Sephora to best engage with Gen Z clients, whether it be in new channels/formats or within our existing channels (email, mobile messaging (app push, SMS), and direct mail) Assist the Senior Marketing Manager in Email campaign execution Support execution of day-to-day campaigns to deliver client-centric, personalized campaigns and recommend optimizations using data-driven insights Collaborate with Retention Marketing Operations team to QA emails to ensure correct content, linking, tracking to deliver a flawless client experience Execute Email channel and campaign strategies and program optimizations Support Retention Marketing team in special projects and initiatives, potentially including Assisting standing up a new category of campaigns Keeping a strong pulse on retention & industry trends and innovation through competitive marketplace analysis Develop, grow, and have fun! To help ensure success, we are requiring the following characteristics, skills and experiences: Education And Experience Currently working on completion of Bachelor’s degree in related field in Business, Analytics, Marketing, or Communications and is currently a junior or senior in credit hours Strong familiarity and interest (ideally direct experience and expertise) with Retention Marketing channels including email, mobile messaging (app push, SMS), and direct mail Data-driven mindset with the ability to gather insights and draw conclusions Working foundation of business acumen, particularly with how Retention Marketing drives sales, engagement, and lifetime value Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment Characteristics Innate sense of intellectual curiosity that drives you to be constantly learning Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal skills to partner effectively across various business partners Taking initiative in problem solving and out of the box thinking Adaptable to a variety of tasks and projects Positive attitude - eager to get involved in projects The target hourly pay for this position is $23.
