Communications/Social Media Coordinator

Come work for an Oakland lawmaker's office in a communications and social media focused role! The identity of the specific legislator will be disclosed during interviews.
Responsibilities * Develop and implement social media strategies to increase the Councilmember's engagement with constituents * Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms, including Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn * Design fliers and graphics for constituent engagement and district events * Respond to enquiries from constituents on social media platforms and connect with resources * Edit photo and video content as necessary * Work with team member to develop other public communications and media strategy Qualifications: * Experience in managing social media accounts for organizations and/or individuals * Strong understanding of social media marketing strategies and current best practices with Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn * Graphic design skills to create event fliers and graphics as needed * Photo and video editing skills * Analytical skills to identify trends and target audiences * Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail * Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment If you are a creative individual with a passion for social media & communications, we would love to hear from you.
