Location: This is a hybrid position with option to be based at either Emeryville HQ or East Hanover HQ with in-office expectations of minimum 2 days per week.
Mission: The Brand Manager, CLIF Innovation is responsible for innovation development of CLIF Active pillar with potential to flex across the portfolio.
Our CLIF portfolio of brands includes CLIF, CLIF Kid, CLIF Builders and Bloks, and LUNA.
Key Responsibilities Support the development of brand innovation strategy, in partnership with the Director, to develop a multi-year innovation pipeline that aligns with the brand growth strategy and is sufficient to deliver financial targets.
Delivery & execution of the multi-year innovation pipeline from concept to launch; collaborating closely with the cross functional team to ensure flawless execution.
Development and validation of concepts Leadership through innovation stage gate process Leads and collaborates with cross functional team (R&D, Insights, Base Brande, Supply Chain, and others) through feasibility, commercialization & launch of the innovation Works closely with sales, consumer insights & finance to develop new item forecasts and projections that align with our financial hurdles, and mitigate waste potential Develops sales facing selling stories and communications in support of innovation sell in Post launch tracking and integration of learnings into pipeline innovation development Independent analysis combined with partnership with consumer insights to develop deep understanding of the consumer, brand and category dynamics to inform winning, relevant innovation across channels.
Partnership with sales to develop channel and customer level understanding to inform packaging, pricing, placement approach for innovation.
Ability to work with various agencies to develop consumer centric innovation bundles.
Ongoing management of the brand 4:2:1 plans (i.
e.
pipelines).
Innovation team support: data hygiene, budget management, and other potential needs.
What you will bring A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge: Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities Experience in design thinking/human-centered design and mixed research methods (qualitative and quantitative) Excellent business acumen and marketing capabilities Excellent leadership / communication / collaboration skills Demonstrated track record of sales/marketing/commercialization execution Ability to lead a cross functional team Ability to thrive in and handle ambiguity & fast paced environment Analytic and creative thinking skills The anticipated base salary range for this position is $114,500 to $171,800; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget.
The salary range may vary based on geographic location.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.

Experience analyzing syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI) Proficiency with MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote, Teams) Travel requirements: 15% travel required Work schedule: This is a full-time role based in Emeryville, CA or East Hanover, NJ with in-office expectations of minimum 2 days per week.
