Job brief:
Vertosa is growing and in need of an Account Executive.
This role will be responsible for generating new sales leads, building long-lasting client relationships, and driving business growth in line with Vertosa’s reputation for industry leading customer service.
The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of sales acumen, industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences in a fast-moving category of an emerging industry.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
Execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in collaboration with other team members.
Generate new sales leads through research, networking, and cold calling.
Negotiate and close deals, including contracts, pricing, and fulfillment timelines in a fast-paced, competitive environment with changing market conditions and customer needs.
Conduct market research to best understand our customers’ needs, stay up-to-date on industry trends, and stay informed on relevant laws and regulations.
Collaborate with other departments, such as Operations, Marketing, R&D, and Quality to ensure a cohesive approach to customer acquisition, retention, and issue resolution.
Manage and maintain accurate sales records, including forecasts, budgets, and pipeline data.
Participate in industry events and conferences to build brand awareness and network with potential clients or partners.
Job requirements::
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years experience in cannabis or food and beverage ingredient sales preferred, with a proven track record of achieving revenue targets and building successful client relationships.
Proficiency with sales tools, such as CRM systems, Excel, and digital document platforms.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and team members.
Knowledge of the industry and market trends, including competitors and emerging technologies.
The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a high-paced environment.
Ability to travel to meet with clients or attend industry events up to 50% of a given quarter.
Must be a passionate champion for cannabis, although Vertosa does not require cannabis consumption for any employees.
