Oh, and who want to help inspire a new generation of consumers to think secondhand first!
About the Internship
As ThredUp’s Communications Intern, you will help the communications team tell stories that shift consumer preference from new to used and inspire confidence in the growth of our business and industry.
You will play a foundational role in executing the communications team's goals by supporting both corporate (business) and consumer initiatives that reach consumer, retail and investor audiences.
On the corporate communications side, you will support key business news, announcements, and campaigns as well as thought leadership programs including speaking, events, and awards, crafting compelling stories about ThredUp’s business and impact.
On the consumer communications side, you will support consumer-facing campaigns and our relationship building efforts with key contacts.
You will assist with our VIP program management, research prospective campaign partners, and assist with the execution and launch of campaigns and events that increase awareness of and affinity for ThredUp to build brand love.
You will also provide general team support such as tracking ThredUp’s press coverage; keeping a pulse on competitors and industry trends in fashion, retail, tech, and sustainability; and communicating with external parties, including reporters, prospective partners, event organizers, and more.
You will thrive in this role if you are passionate about storytelling and are an excellent creative and professional writer and communicator.
You are passionate about circular fashion, thrift, sustainability, retail, and/or fashion technology.
