*POSITION SUMMARY* The Trade Engagement Manager drives Fort Point’s strategic objective of gaining business among Bay Area “Tastemaker” accounts (bars, restaurants, and retailers with exceptional brand value) through relationship building, engagement, and education.
This individual will cultivate Fort Point’s community among stakeholders (bartenders, managers, buyers) at Bay Area bars, restaurants, and independent retailers, providing support through training, education, and events/activations.
The right candidate has strong brand intuition, an entrepreneurial spirit, a mastery of the soft sell, exceptional organization, and the ability to think both strategically and creatively.
This role reports directly to the Marketing Director.
*PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES* *Community Building & Brand Representation* * Cultivates relationships with the Bay Area hospitality community through trade events, happy hours, brewery tours, and other activities coordinated by the Trade Engagement Manager.
* Conducts staff training to ensure Fort Point is properly represented in accounts.
* Stewards the Fort Point brand, upholding its values, promoting its products, and representing Fort Point at industry events.
*Sales: Tastemaker Account Segment* * Manages the complete sales cycle for Tastemaker accounts (influential bars, restaurants, and retailers) in the Bay Area, employing a "soft sales" approach.
* Provides regular progress reports on goals, including account recoveries, new points of distribution, and retention.
* Collaborates with distributor reps to focus on strategic accounts and ensures “white glove” service.
* Takes ownership of Tastemaker account management, overseeing segmentation, lifecycle tracking, and relationship details.
*Trade Marketing* * Identifies opportunities to enhance brand visibility in accounts, supporting new ideas with a clear "why" and plan for measuring ROI.
* Collaborates with the Marketing Director to conceptualize and execute activations with key accounts, maintaining engagement and driving business.
* Manages on-premise events and serves as the primary contact for SF field events.

brand aligned iPhone photography, Reel/TikTok creation, etc *KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED* * 5+ years in a brand development, partnerships, community, or trade marketing role * 2+ years in or adjacent to SF hospitality industry * Experience using customer relationship management and project management platforms * Previous experience working directly with beverage buyers/directors * iPhone photography, video, and editing a plus *REQUIRED SKILLS* * Adept at relationship building and cultivating community * Strong brand intuition, understands the Fort Point brand and can translate that into how we show up in accounts * Excellent organization: on top of managing segmented lists, reporting on progress, and self-project managing.
