Position Summary:
The SEIU-UHW Web Communications Specialist plans and executes digital strategy and advertising on all digital platforms – including but not limited to all social media efforts, website, text campaigns, and email campaigns.
This role is responsible for making sure that the user-experience of our members and potential supporters is inclusive and empowering by working with Field Staff, Communicators, Digital Organizers, Communications Coordinators, and Communications Director.
The SEIU-UHW Web Communications Specialist functions include the following:
Websites
• Translate organizational and marketing objectives into designs that are clear, compelling, visually exciting, easy to use, and emotionally engaging.
• Use Google Analytics to interpret and analyze website data to help the team and organization make informed choices about digital content, strategy, and messaging; and to understand user behavior.
• Using Salesforce Pardot's tracking and automation tools, create seamless pipelines between our websites and Pardot to generate leads and create engagement among our users.
Social Media
• Implement and evolve SEIU-UHW's social media strategy based on trends, and insights from trainings.
• Work with the Digital Communications Coordinator to ensure everything we share embodies our voice and tone and increases brand connection and engagement.
• Plan and execute digital advertising campaigns that support the strategic goals of the organization.
Evaluate and interpret metrics and user experience to inform digital strategies.
Email
• Use Pardot to set up, manage, and schedule all types of email (one-time, recurring, nurture, trigger, and other), scoring, segmentation, automations, and page actions.
• Build Pardot reports and dashboards to provide visibility into results, measure effectiveness, and provide alternate strategies if needed.
• Collaborate with other communicators to develop effective email strategies, use best practices, and to maintain a cohesive user experience.
• Create landing pages and forms using HTML, CSS, and Pardot.
Salesforce
• Qualify leads before handing off to field and digital organizers.
Work leads efficiently by prioritizing leads with lead scoring, categorizing scored leads, and using assignment rules to route leads.
• Work alongside the Data Team and use validation rules to ensure database cleanliness, and bidirectional sync with Pardot
• Track lead-generating efforts by identifying lead sources, using campaigns for deeper metrics, analyzing pipeline through leads history, and dashboard to update strategy over time.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Basic knowledge of WordPress and PHP.
• Knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
• Pardot Specialist a plus.
• Experience with deploying and optimizing campaigns across a variety of ad manager platforms.
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.
Premiere a plus.
• Works and communicates well with stakeholders across multiple groups.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and an ability to deliver high-quality results with minimal instruction and a short turn-around time
