Job Overview: Sales Coordinator assists the sales team in organizing and managing day-to-day sales and administrative activities and servicing clients
Reports to: Sales Managers, Director of Sales & Marketing
Key Relationships:
Internal: Front Desk Hosts, Reservations, Sales and Catering, Housekeeping, Restaurant, Accounting, and Maintenance.
External: Hotel guests/visitors, and other sales personnel
Qualifications/Skills:
Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and /or abilities.
To perform this job successfully, the employee will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Essential:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous administrative role & sales
Prior experience using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to comprehend and communicate basic contract terms
Ability to work at a desk for long periods of time required
Must be able to communicate professionally and tactfully in English, both written and verbal
Must be able to access all areas of the property in order to lead tours
Desirable:
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality
Previous experience in hospitality and utilizing OPERA
Essential Physical Abilities:
Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, such as reaching, bending and stooping
Requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds
Repetitive hand motion (typing) for extended periods of time
Essential Job Functions:
Assists Sales team with servicing clients and managing day-to-day sales and administrative activities
Ability to maintain standard attendance expectation
Answer incoming leads (both via phone and electronic), qualifying and routing to appropriate sales manager
Organize and ensure appropriate supply of sales kits in preparation for sales meetings and site visits
Assist with coordination and execution of site visits of the property, touring potential clients and responding to all applicable inquiries in an effort to secure the business
Assist with coordination of Group business
Data entry into Opera
Ability to comprehend and communicate basic contract terms
Capability to professionally and tactfully communicate in English, both written and verbal
Perform any other job related duties as assigned
