Position Overview Seasoned Bay Area benefits firm is seeking talented and experienced group insurance professionals for a part-time permanent position who have a strong disposition towards client servicing and growth.
Position Duties and Responsibilities: * Provides direct client service to existing group insurance clients, including small to mid size California and west coast groups.
* Key service oriented functions of the position include: * Day-to-day responsiveness to client service requirements.
* Market review for group renewals, or during the contract year when necessary, in order to provide clients with the best market pricing for current or alternative benefits structures.
* Assistance to clients with ongoing enrollment and/or COBRA continuation issues.
* The position supports new sales efforts through proposal development working with producers including where required: * Prospect interface for data collection purposes.
* Collection and review of carrier proposals with development of sales recommendations.
* Preparation of proposals and related point-of-sale materials.
* Enrollment of new group clients and/or broker-of-record takeover support.
* Maintenance of excellent client records through both CRM and electronic/paper based files where needed.
* Participates in and oversees customer service tracking for clients’ record retention and management reporting.
* Direct administrative and customer service support is in place to assist with the execution of all position responsibilities.
Qualifications: * 5+ years of related industry experience; minimum 2 years group insurance agency experience.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent client services and interpersonal skills.
* Self-motivated individual who stays abreast of industry and new product information.
* Strong Microsoft Office and CRM skills.
* Solid analytical and problem resolution skills.
* Ability to work well in a dynamic environment with a high degree of accuracy.
Education & Licensing: * Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field is desired.
* California Life, Accident and Health Agent license.
* Industry specific education and credentials a plus.
Job Types: Permanent, Part-time Pay: $32.
00 - $40.
