Job Description: Shake Sum Bar Staff provide a refreshing and healthy experience for gym members by promoting, preparing and selling a variety of nutritious drinks, smoothies, and health-oriented snacks.
This position requires a combination of customer service skills, product knowledge, and a passion for promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:Greet and assist gym members and visitors in a friendly and approachable manner.
Provide excellent customer service by offering product recommendations, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience.
Sales:Actively promote and upsell bar products, including fresh slushies, smoothies, protein shakes, and healthy snacks.
Accurately handle cash and electronic transactions while maintaining a clean and organized cash register area.
Track sales and meet or exceed sales targets and goals.
Product Knowledge:Have a comprehensive understanding of the bar menu, ingredients, nutritional information, and benefits.
Educate customers about the health benefits of the products, including their impact on fitness and overall well-being.
Cleanliness and Hygiene:
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment, blenders, and serving stations.
Adhere to food safety and hygiene guidelines when preparing and serving beverages and snacks.
Inventory Management:Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed.
Rotate perishable items and ensure that all products are fresh and of high quality.
Health and Safety:Follow health and safety protocols, including the use of gloves, hairnets, and other personal protective equipment.
Ensure that the bar area is compliant with health department regulations.
Marketing and Promotion:Assist in creating and implementing promotional strategies to increase sales and attract new customers.
Contribute to social media and other digital and physical marketing initiatives regularly to increase exposure of the bar.
Collaborate with gym management on special events or promotions related to the bar.
Qualifications:
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build relationships.
* A passion for health and wellness with a good understanding of fitness and nutrition.
* Previous experience in a similar role or in the food and beverage industry is a plus.
* Basic math skills and cash-handling abilities.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-traffic periods.
* Excellent hygiene and cleanliness standards.
* Goal oriented in proactively overachieving sales goals consistently
* Food safety certification may be required.
