Job Summary
The Charles Krug Lead Wine Ambassador will represent the culture and philosophy of Charles Krug/C.
Mondavi & Family to guests.
The Wine Ambassador will authentically live our values, have curiosity for people and will successfully generate long-term, repeated business from existing and new customers.
The storytelling and will be engaging, have a passion for wine and storytelling, and know how to maximize sales opportunities.
Requirements:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Lead duties include opening and closing the tasting room, supervising the team when TRM and ATRM are not available.
The Lead may also participate in new hire training.
Provide guests with an outstanding experience at both the consumer and trade level by conducting tastings and tours while listening to the needs of each guest.
Maximize wine sales and wine club memberships while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Maintain and exhibit a thorough knowledge of the Charles Krug wine portfolio and keep up to date on general wine knowledge and industry trends.
Master the Charles Krug brand messaging and history and translate that information in an engaging manner.
Ability to work and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while maintaining a high level of detail and customer service.
Actively seek ways to improve efficiency, sales, and customer service.
Educate guests with accurate information about the winery, its wines, history and food program.
Perform daily tours.
Enter wine orders and shipping orders into POS.
Utilize excellent sales skills to increase wine sales and inform guests about shipping options, upselling, sales promotions, or special offers.
Introduce and promote wine club benefits and memberships.
Meet individual sales and wine club signup goals.
Assist existing members with pick-ups and orders, actively engaging them to build and maintain relationships.
Participate in daily opening and closing procedures, e.
g.
cleaning, restocking, opening wine stations, etc.
Qualifications (work experience, preferred skills and education):
Excellent customer service and sales skills and experience
Two years’ experience working at a winery, wine-related business, hotel or restaurant
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Ability to work independently and make informed decisions while under general supervision and guidance
Ability to contribute to a positive work atmosphere by communicating with guests, colleagues, and management
Results and goal oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with computer proficiency
Strong relationship building competency
Ability to work weekends
Wine knowledgeable with the desire to learn more, accreditation a plus
Must be 21 years of age
Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
