*San Francisco Mercantile* is a retail shop on Haight Street offering gifts & keepsakes designed by local artists.
Our products celebrate the vibrant and diverse culture that is unique to California.
We expanded our business in May of 2021 and opened *Welcome Haight and Ashbury* which celebrates the Summer of Love.
Hippie Culture and Pop culture in general.
In April of 2023 we opened *Welcome Castro* which celebrates the LGBTQ+ community and the Historic Castro neighborhood.
We are seeking a few outgoing individuals to join our team and work in our 3 San Francisco stores.
These positions require working weekdays and weekends for a total of 20-25 hours a week.
*Key Responsibilities*:
- Greeting and engaging customers on sales floor or phone
- Demonstrating Product knowledge and assisting customers in making their purchases
- creating a positive shopping experience for our customers
- Cash handling and running an iPad register
- Organizing, restocking, and cleaning the store
- Ensuring that customers receive exemplary customer service
- Learning about every artist or company we represent to provide the best service.
*Qualifications*:
* 1 year of Retail and Customer Service experience is highly preferred
* Excellent communication skills
* Comfortable with basic PC operations/functions; Email, POS system
* Reliable, organized, efficient, courteous, professional, team player, sense of humor
*Physical Demands*:
* Long periods of standing throughout the work shift
* Able to stand, bend, climb, reach, stoop and lift boxes up to 40lbs
