What you will be doing
In this role, you will be responsible for proactive selling and prospecting new business, while maintaining strong connections with current clients.
Conduct outside sales calls, attend community events, and remain involved with other networking practices in an effort to secure business.
Represents the hotel in a professional manner with customers by telephone or in-person to solicit and close group business.
Adapt to market conditions and adjust strategies accordingly.
Manages customer relationship by responding to inquiries, meeting with and entertaining clients, conducting property tours, promoting facilities and services, drafting contracts.
Perform other services and duties as requested by the Director of Sales and General Manager.
Host functions and participate in, or conduct sales blitzes, travel and work extended hours to achieve departmental goals.
Work closely with above property sales leaders to strategize deployment and control market share.
Ensure client satisfaction from start to finish of their time with the property.
Requirements
Requirements include basic reading, writing and math skills.
Excel, word and outlook experience.
When needed, be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
This job requires ability to perform the following: regularly required to talk, hear and interact with guests and potential clients, stand and use hands to, type, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Required to walk, sit and reach with hands and arms.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and stand for long periods of time.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
2+ years of hotel sales experience or employment in a related position or field.
Hilton experience a plus!
