Koshland Program Senior Assistant The Semi-monthly (per pay period) compensation for this position in FY24 is: $2,864.

Through community engagement, strategic grantmaking, engagement with Foundation initiatives in the community, its many partners and donors, and partnerships with other foundation staff, the Program Senior Assistant ensures that the Foundation’s overall goals and objectives are achieved.
Role The Program Senior Assistant works independently, with guidance, and collectively on a team to develop and implement activities in the following areas: grantmaking, report writing, building relationships with community, Foundation and public partners, and advancing Foundation priorities both internally and in the field.
Other responsibilities include grant and contract management, program implementation, representing the Foundation at meetings, and contributing to the strategies and activities of the Foundation’s regional equity agenda.
The Program Senior Assistant position requires strong research, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills as well as professional discretion, independent judgment, flexibility and diplomacy.
Tasks Maintain and support relationships and communications with grantees, nonprofit partners, public sector allies, and other key stakeholders.
Coordinate site visits, community meetings, special convening opportunities, and grantee communications.
Provides administrative support for the team Acts as a primary information contact responding to intra-office and public inquiries and requests for information and redirecting inquiries and requests as appropriate.
Drafts and disseminates minutes from meetings and convenings.
Responds to grant seeker questions related to TSFF grantmaking systems, timelines, forms completion and processes.
Reviews and/or tracks grantee submissions to ensure completeness and timely submissions and acquires missing documentation as needed.
Accurately completes coding and information updates in the Foundation’s grantmaking and CRM systems.
Updates specific areas of the SFF website for the Koshland team.
Has primary responsibility for managing all logistical aspects of convenings and events that are hosted by the programmatic team.
Tasks include but are not limited to vendor negotiation, ongoing communication with speakers and attendees, coordination with Marketing and Communications staff on collateral, tracking RSVPs, day-of-event management, monitoring expenditures, and final payment of invoices.
Attend monthly community meetings and provide admin support as needed Manage PKF/RR Community Leadership Award process Develop graphics and presentations for programmatic activities Perform other duties as assigned.
Competencies & Qualifications 2-3 years of increasing professional experience in the Bay Area nonprofit, philanthropic, private, or public sector.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education, and experience.
Organized, self-starting, and independent with the ability to multi-task, set priorities, track projects, and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated deep commitment to and experience related to racial equity and economic inclusion (which may include housing rights and anti-displacement, education justice, criminal justice, worker rights, or other issues).
Creates positive, long-term working relationships by demonstrating a commitment to interdependence, consistency, and flexibility.
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, with strong attention to detail.
Experience with project management Working experience in power building/movement institutions Demonstrated personal integrity and commitment to racial equity and the ability to engender trust, credibility, and confidence across racial, economic, ethnic, and geographic differences.
Technical abilities and skills Intermediate computer/software skills, including Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, & Teams) and Zoom.

Compensation: The San Francisco Foundation offers a very competitive total compensation package including base compensation in alignment with our organizational budget size and rich medical and fringe benefits offerings.
This position pays $2,864.
33 per pay period.
