My son is finishing high school in Petaluma, and I'd like to find housing for us in the area (or at least commutable, like Cotati, Tomales, Valley Ford, or rural areas).
I have 6.
64 acres in Plains, MT (in the northwest part of the state) with a 1999 3 bed/2bath home, great well, newer septic, RV pad, and shop building.
It also has a potential second building site on a hill above the house with incredible views.
It's surrounded by large ranches.
I own it outright and will be selling it this spring to put the proceeds toward a place in Petaluma (approximate selling price in the low $400k range until second building site is developed).
It occurred to me that someone might be selling out to move to MT, and by working a partial trade we could save realtor commissions, etc.
I have cash to put with the trade for an outright purchase and won't be needing financing.
Will consider anything, including buildable land.
It's a long shot, I know, but thought for the low, low cost of a craigslist ad it was worth a shot!
