Volunteering at Halleck Creek Ranch might be the perfect fit for you! Halleck Creek Ranch is looking for active, energetic and caring volunteers to help grow our program.
Founded in 1977, we are a 501c-3 non-profit therapeutic riding program located in Nicasio (in West Marin, 30 minutes West of San Rafael, 30 minutes SW of Petaluma).
Program Volunteer positions working with our horses and students, and Volunteer positions are available Tues, Wed, Thurs afternoon, and Tues and Thurs morning.
Program Volunteers help with the riding portion of our program, engaging and assisting our special riders, sidewalking, grooming and tacking-up horses, and eventually leading horses for our riders.
Facility Volunteers help in a variety of ways around our 60 acre ranch, some of which include cleaning paddocks, raking the hay barn, weeding, general repairs, helping with special events or projects, or helping out in the office.
No horse experience is required, all training is provided, and learning is encouraged! Our horses are gentle giants, and volunteers as young as 14 are encouraged to apply.
All volunteers must attend an orientation, complete the required paperwork and participate in on-going training during their period of service.
