Makita 6213D 3/8 Drill/Driver - $80 (san rafael)

Purchased new.
Used to make repairs and work on projects around my house.
The original batteries failed, so I sent them out to have them rebuilt.
They did not seem to work well, so I purchased aftermarket replacement batteries.
Then I discovered that the charger was not working properly, so I replaced the charger with an OEM charger which is included.
The speed switch stopped working so I replaced that.
Unfortunately the gear assembly must have been damaged during my replacement.
As of 2020, the motor still ran, but the drill chuck does not turn.
Now the motor does not run.
There might be a simple fix -- I do not know.

0AHr NiCd Batteries were rebuilt in 2011.
One does not hold charge.

included Original Makita DC1410 Ni-MH/Ni-Cd charger was replaced with a Makita OEM DC1804 Ni-MH/Ni-Cd charger in 2012 for $55.
Included Makita OEM F/6233DWA speed switch replaced in 2017 for $47.
