I only ever used the motor itself, and only a few times.
It's powerful, not too loud, and works incredibly well.
I have a tiny shed, 8'x10', without space for the entire setup, so I just had the motor blow dust outside instead of using the bags.
It worked really well, but the space in my shed is just too limited and it was a pain for me to move things around the few times I did use it.
I'm going to forego active dust collection, but I highly recommend this unit for anyone with even a little more space for their tools.
