About The Role We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team and contribute to the growth of our business.
Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA Position Type: Full-Time Salary: Base Salary of $50,000 - $65,000 + generous commission structure.
Full earning potential estimated to be up to $120,000 annually.
Base salary dependent upon experience, proven track record and strength of network.
Please Note: While the position of Outside Sales Representative with Dawn Ranch entails Monday to Friday commitments in the San Francisco Bay Area, occasional travel to Los Angeles, Sacramento, and neighboring regions may be necessary.
While the term "Road Warrior" is mentioned in our travel description, it's essential to clarify that this role primarily involves daily activities within the Bay Area and surrounding cities.
The extent of travel is contingent upon business opportunities for Dawn Ranch.
Candidates should be based in or around the San Francisco Bay Area.
Primary Objective: Drive growth in market share and sales across all Dawn Ranch sales segments, encompassing Weddings and social events, corporate retreats, and events.
Increase account base by servicing existing customers and expanding account base through targeted calls and cold calling.
Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads; lead follow-up; Conduct weekly sales calls - includes servicing existing customers as well as targeting potential customers, as well as cold calls (average 10 - 15 targeted calls per week).
Grow market share by increasing sales and sales volume while maintaining company approved product margin goals.
Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
Demonstrate the functions and utility of Dawn Ranch’s products, services and event packages to customers based on their needs.
Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
Maintain communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest; Offer professional, effective and efficient solutions for customer support, inquiries and concerns.
Maintain detailed reports of sales activities including call logs, trip logs, customer visit logs, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
Provide periodic territory sales forecasts including the development of sales pipeline.
Perform other duties as assigned Competencies: Self-motivated with the ability to work under little or no supervision.
Must possess proven interpersonal skills including influencing and negotiation skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to exercise independent judgment and demonstrate solid time management and organizational skills.
Must be able to drive a motor vehicle and possess a clean DMV license.
Details of the Role: Sales and Revenue Generation: Focus on outside sales to uncover new business opportunities.
Develop and execute effective sales strategies to generate revenue from the corporate sector.
Meet and exceed sales targets through proactive business development.
Travel as required to attend and/or represent Dawn Ranch at trade shows, aimed at bolstering sales initiatives, enhancing brand visibility, and fostering business expansion.
Identify key decision makers within target companies, schedule in-person presentations, and effectively close new business to further enhance Dawn Ranch's market presence.
Market Knowledge: Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of San Francisco, Bay Area and other feeder market trends.
Identify potential corporate clients, sustainability partners and agency contacts.
Maintain relationships with existing clients and establish new accounts.
Identify leisure/social opportunities within surrounding areas to drive revenue.
Client Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with corporate clients, sustainability partners and travel agents.
Understand client needs and tailor offerings to meet specific requirements.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction to encourage repeat business.
Provide quick and timely responses to existing and prospective customers.
Collaboration with Other Departments: Maintain strong communication with Sales Coordinator to optimize sales production and ensure the seamless execution of proposals and contracts.
Collaboration with all hotel departments is vital to ensure a seamless sales transaction and to optimize revenue generation.
Work closely with social media and Public Relations teams, leveraging social media and public relations to develop strategies that drive sales, enhance brand visibility, and engage with our target audience effectively.
Clear and effective communication skills are essential in this role to facilitate the smooth flow of information and maximize sales opportunities.
Technical Skills: Possess a proficient understanding and ability to use Microsoft Office 365 for effective communication and documentation.
Utilize your proficiency in working with third-party platforms such as San Fransisco Convention & Visitors Bureau, Visitcalifornia.
com, etc.
to enhance Dawn Ranch's online presence and drive leads.
Prepare comprehensive sales reports and maintain accurate customer data to drive future sales strategies using the provided sales systems.
Knowledge of Event Temple CRM a plus but not required.
Climate action and Sustainability driven Business or Customer Growth Leverage knowledge and background in green and climate action driven companies within California.
Neighboring states and regional outreach can be plus.
Highlight the sustainability aspects of our offerings as a competitive advantage.
Continue to learn and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify ESG based offering creation needs as part of business growth strategy through understanding of shifting customer trends and client driven industry requirements.
Other Essential Duties & Physical Requirements: Ability to use repetitive hand and body motions such as grasping, writing, typing, listening, hearing, and visual acuity.
Role may require the ability to drive a motor vehicle, stand, walk, sit, talk, talk on a telephone or mobile device, carry a laptop (including while traveling), use a computer for a significant amount of time each day, to hear, and to occasionally lift up to 15 lbs.

Familiarity with the corporate environment and ability to identify key decision-makers.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Ability to navigate and adopt general computer knowledge, with relevant tools and platforms.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
At least 5 years of related experience required.
Additional: Background and knowledge in climate action and green companies; experience in sustainability is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team and manage and develop strong relationships with internal and external partners.
