The Team Leader will be primarily focused on maintaining aggressive growth in the number of licensed real estate agents within the organization, managing the entire leadership team, and building strong consultative relationships with the top agents in the office.
The TL will be excellent at casting a big vision and leading their team towards that vision while managing the achievement of critical milestones along the path to success.
The next successful TL will have high capacity in interpersonal relationships and will be an inspirational and effective oral and written communicator.
*Duties & Responsibilities*
The Team Leader is a senior role within Keller Williams (KW) Advisors San Francisco, and will be responsible for:
* Leading strategic initiatives to rapidly recruit high producing and high potential real estate agents to the office
* Oversee the hiring, leadership and development of the staff as well as ensure they are properly trained and held accountable to KWA’s performance standards
* Manage and accelerate the financial performance of the office, paying close attention to, and making necessary adjustments to key financial indicators, to maximize profitability
* Provide business development and financial management consulting to top agents with the office, helping them make dramatic growth in their personal production and performance
* Promote a strong learning based environment and ensure that agents have access to top of the line training and educational opportunities
* Maintain a positive and empowering environment that both challenges associates to reach their potential, and also provides for a caring, people-first, atmosphere
Recruiting will be the primary focus early on as momentum is built and systems are in place to ensure consistent growth is implemented and executed on (via leverage in many cases).
*Where the TL should spend 80% or more of their time would be: *
* Leading the team via consistent daily huddles to focus on daily maximization of productivity and support of one another (15 minutes or less typically)
* Prospecting to initiate new with existing agents in the market (recruiting; 2-3 hours)
* Following up with potential recruits and referral sources for recruits (1-2 hours)
* Conducting/supporting 2 to 3+ recruiting appts per day (can be accomplished in multiple ways i.
e.
holding your own appts with producing agents and helping staff close appointments with lower production/new agents)
* Leading office team meetings (sales meetings) with leverage from staff and other sources (weekly or bi-weekly; currently bi-weekly)
* Leading the Associate Leadership Council (office board of directors) meetings (1x per month)
* Provide consistent leadership to staff and agents
* Coach/consult with top 10-20% of agents within the office (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, depending on agent)
* Review financials to achieve/maintain tight budget and profitability (weekly within office, monthly with President)
*The other 20%:*
* Being available to step in when senior leadership and/or office level decisions are required
* Regional and International calls to represent the office, learn, collaborate, and then relay back to the staff and agents
* KW Advisors leadership and development calls (weekly leadership call, 1-2x per month for KWA at large)
* Trainings specific to Team Leader/Leadership

* Have in-depth, high-level, proven growth and leadership capabilities
* Experience in a high-growth or start-up environment preferred
* Ability to build powerful relationships and recruit effectively and consistently
* Strong verbal leadership and communication skills and social poise
* Although a background in real estate sales is preferred, a candidate with an exceptional track record in another endeavor, who also possesses exceptional leadership skills, will also be considered
* Proven ability to work in a collaborative team setting as well as drive work individually
