Under general supervision of the Admissions Manager, the Admissions Counselor helps facilitate program of the health center and is responsible for generating business from referrals sources to meet the community’s revenue and census goals.
This is a combined role managing internal admission flow and external marketing
This is Part-Time Position
Friday (10:30am - 6:30pm) and Saturday, Sunday (9:30am - 5:30pm)
Pay: $29-$35 Depending on Experience
Work Duties
Coordinates implementation of Health Center admission policies and procedures in cooperation with the Health Center Administrator to meet company standards and governmental regulations.
Process new referrals that arrive by health system referral software portals, telephone, email, fax and website inquiries, in the manner best fitting the needs of the referral source, obtaining sufficient admission and insurance information in order to ensure appropriate and timely admissions;
Maintain communication with pending residents, their families, and referral sources and routinely follow the progress of prospective patients and those referrals not taken;
Meets with residents and their families regarding issues and/or concerns
Ensures new admissions sign admissions contract and other intake paperwork and creates files

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
AA Degree with Administration, Business or a related field.
Experience/Training
Two or more years in a related field that demonstrates the ability to work in a long term care setting, preferably with geriatric residents, admissions and a marketing background in lieu of education
Medical or business office education or training desired
