Dog in need of home.
Small rehoming fee.
8 months old, female, pitbull type.
Maybe 40 or 50 lbs.
She has a bite history with dogs and bit two small females, and has attempted to bite people before.
She has zero training and was abused by previous owners before being abandoned with us.
We tried taking her to animal control, but they're full and due to her history they were likely going to euthanize her.
I think if given a chance she could be a good dog, she's only a puppy.
She's known nothing but filth and pain her entire 8 months of living.
I can't keep her because I don't have the time, but think the right person could turn her into a good dog.
She'd need a home without other dogs for the time being until the reason for her biting was found out (is most likely resource guarding, but could be same sex aggression or her lack of training).
A home without children would be best since she was abused by a 6 year old in the previous home (hitting her with toys, poking her, mishandling her).
Due to her bite history with small dogs, it's probably best she doesn't go to a home with cats or other small pets.
A single adult who's home most if not all of the time would be best.
You need to know dogs and their behavior, and be ready to take on a puppy that's absolutely terrified of everything and everyone.
If you're a dog trainer or like rehabilitating them she could be perfect.
She just needs time and consistency and I'm sure she could be amazing.
