Rocco is a very energetic, playful, curious, beautiful weimaraner mix.
I am trying to find him a good home as I can't keep him since I already have a bull terrier who just recently had surgery and is still recovering so she can't handle the amount of playing that he needs or wants.
He is a big puppy, big feet, will be a large dog as weimaraner's are.
I rescued him from the streets of SF and promised I would find him a good home and don't want to have to take him to the SPCA or anything like that.
There is no rehoming fee, I am not looking for money, I just want to find a good home where he will be loved and is open to playdates in the future since he's become best buds with my pup Melly in the few hours that they've been playing today.
I was told he has his shots (1st round), he doesn't have fleas, very soft coat, no worms (as far as I can tell).
He was starving when I got him and wolfed down an entire can of dog food in about 3 seconds, then when I brought him home I fed him a raw dinner of meat and veggies
(the one that you keep in your freezer and thaw out for each meal).
I would recommend feeding him some chicken and rice to help his stomach, I don't think he's eaten in the last few days considering the can of food went through him immediately and I'm talking within 7-10 min he had to potty.
He is not fully potty trained since he has never really had a home before.
The guy told me that he brought him to the shelter with him at night, which is why he's so clean compared to what you would expect form a "homeless" dog.
He doesn't know his name very well or at all really so you could rename him no problem if you wanted to, he's not attached to Rocco and I've been calling him different names all day trying to find one I think fits him better.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask - I need to find him a home ASAP since I am only allowed to let him stay for one night where I live.
Thank you!! He is very friendly with people and other dogs, just wants to play, shows no aggression whatsoever.
