for SCAMMERS! 99% of puppy ads are fake Nearly ALL the ads posted here in the Community section (for some weird reason, because it's not the Sales section.
.
.
) are fake.
They are just scammers trying to get you to send a deposit.
The rest are backyard breeders lying about the heritage and quality of the animal.
And torturing animals to get as many puppies to sell as possible in the process.
Kittens, too.
Unless there is a LISTED fee of less than $400, it's a sale, likely a scam.
If the picture is of an animal posed for the holidays, it's a scam.
Legitimate breeders do NOT use craigslist, so that's your first clue.
