POSITION TITLE: Adult Program Manager
REPORTS TO (TITLE): Director of Social Services
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Assists the Director of Social Services with oversight in treatment program planning, case management, legal and hearing coordination, and evaluation of the effectiveness of clinical services and discharge planning for Adult Inpatient social services employees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: · Audit charts to ensures compliance with all treatment plan requirements including weekly review and updates with the patient (indicated by patient signatures, initials and dates that each review is completed).
· Research, develop, review, and modify programming curriculum and all programmatic services to ensure trauma-informed and strength and evidenced-based practices are being implemented.
This includes, but is not limited to: group curriculum, milieu management, behavior modification strategies, reinforcement schedules, etc.
· Manages clinical and case management staff workload, prioritizing work assignments, evaluating performance, interpreting and enforcing policies and procedures, resolving issues and working with HR to administer disciplinary action when required.
· Attends treatment team daily to address any difficult situations and barriers to treatment that arise and support staff with radical problem solving for safest treatment outcomes in the best interest of the patient.
· Supports with safety planning and facilitate behavior planning for adults who need structured support both in the hospital setting as well as aftercare in the home setting.
· Participates in weekly meetings with Director of Social Services and/or Director of Clinical Services to provide program updates.
· Provides Clinical Supervision for Associate-level clinicians, Licensed Therapist will schedule weekly supervision meetings (individual, triadic, or group) and follow CA BBS Clinical Supervision Guidelines.
· Provides Clinical Supervision for Associate-level clinicians, Licensed Therapist will review, audit, and monitor clinical documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, etc.
) and will sign off on documents as the designated licensed supervisor.
· Provides Clinical Supervision for Associate-level clinicians, Licensed Therapist will provide weekly communication and updates to Director of Social Services and/or Director of Clinical Services regarding individual professional development and learning objectives for Associate-level clinicians as it pertains to their scope of practice and job expectations.
· Maintain a creative, team-building, cooperative approach to job performance and seek to bring a constructive, problem-solving orientation to all tasks.
· Collaboratively works with Adolescent Program Manager to address administrative needs.
· Problem-solve clinical service needs when gaps/problems arise and address patient/parent grievances within the program.
· Maintains effective working and professional relationships and communications with internal, external customers and across multi-disciplinary teams.
· Acts as a liaison to the county providers, family members, and community resources pertain to the treatment of the patient and discharge/aftercare planning to ensure continuity of care for ongoing mental health support.
· Participate in onboarding training for all new adult clinicians and case managers.
· Provide on-going staff training opportunities & constructive feedback/suggestions to improve job performance.
Participate in all-staff meetings to ensure staff and program adherence to policy, procedure, and regulations.
· Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical record documentation in a timely manner · Consult on and take on difficult cases when necessary.
· Provide group facilitation training to adult clinicians, therapists, and counselors and facilitate process and psychoeducational groups to cover any absences as needed.
· Facilitates assessments, master treatment planning and reviews, safety WRAP planning in collaboration with adult patients and their identified supports.
· Upholds the Organization's ethics and customer service standards.
· Cover in the absence of Director of Social Services.
Requirements POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge and Experience: · Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or closely related field.
· Licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist or Clinical Social Worker in the state of California OR certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.
· BBS CA – approved Clinical Supervisor and/or minimum 2 years of licensure with eligibility for 15-hour Clinical Supervisor Coursework upon 60 days of hire.
· Two or more years of behavioral health experience with two or more years of supervisory or managerial experience in serving Severely Mentally Ill in an Inpatient setting preferred.
· Current CPR and Handle With Care certification (or obtained within 30 days of employment).
Skills and Abilities: · Maintains confidentiality of patients at all time · Sensitivity to and willingness to interact with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds.
· Proficiency with software and/or equipment (Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
) · Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize projects, work relatively independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.
· Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively as well as possessing the skills to lead, influence, and motivate others.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, expanding organization.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, this position is frequently required to do the following: · Use standard office equipment and access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
Use computer keyboard with manual and finger dexterity and wrist-finger speed sufficient to perform repetitive actions efficiently for extended periods of time.
· Communicate effectively in person or via telephone in a manner which can be understood by those with whom the person is speaking, including a diverse population.
· Give and follow verbal and written instructions with attention to detail and accuracy.
· Perform complex mental functions and basic arithmetic functions; interpret complex laws, regulations, and policies; collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information.
· Vision: see details of objects at close range.
· Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Reach forward, up, down, and to the side.
Sit or stand for minimum periods of one hour at a time and come and go from the work area repeatedly throughout the day.
