*Job description*
Evolve Healthcare is seeking a Primary Care Physician for a 54 week contract at SQ Prison.
San Quentin State Prison is California’s oldest and best known correctional institution, which was established on the site currently known as Point San Quentin, in July of 1852, as an answer to the rampant lawlessness in California at the time.
San Quentin housed both male and female inmates until 1933 when the women’s prison at Tehachapi was built.
The prison rests overlooking the bay on 432 acres, and is located just 12 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge in the county of Marin.
The walled prison is made up of four (4) large cell blocks (West, South, North, and East Block), one (1) maximum security cell block (the Adjustment Center), Central Health Care Service Building, a medium security dorm setting and a minimum security firehouse.

*Schedule* is Mon-Fri Days 8am-4pm; 40 hours per week-*no weekends/no call/no nights.
* Contract duration is 54 weeks.

*Compensation* is $7,200 gross per week paid every Friday.
W2 hourly rate is $180/hr.
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Physician Supervisor, the Institution Physician is responsible for professional medical services to inmates in accordance with standards of practice in Corrections and Community standards, and the Bureau of Health Services Policies, Procedures and Standards.
In general, the Physician attends to the medical needs of inmates, diagnosing and treating illness and injuries and arranging for professional consultation when warranted; supervises, in conjunction with the Health Service Manager, the development and implementation of treatment protocols and patient flow charts.
This facility provides both outpatient and inpatient mental health services for patients with a serious mental disorder.
The licensed Psychiatric Inpatient Program at this facility is designed to provide more intensive treatment for patients who cannot function adequately or stabilize in an outpatient program.

* Maintain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
