Continuing along its highly successful growth trajectory, SFFedCU is seeking a Head of Consumer Lending to work on-site at our San Francisco headquarters.
The Position
The Head of Consumer Lending is responsible for origination, processing, underwriting, portfolio management, risk management and regulatory compliance of all consumer products including unsecured, secured, auto loans, credit cards and other related products and services.
In addition, the position is responsible for ensuring that consumer lending policies and procedures best serve the Credit Union and its members, and that it is in strict compliance with State and Federal lending laws and regulations.
This person will oversee the department with management of the day-to-day consumer loan operation, providing leadership, guidance, and coaching of the staff.
They will also develop, recommend and implement lending policies and products as well as monitor and analyze economic conditions affecting the loan department and loan portfolio performance.
Who Are You?
The top candidate should have a Bachelor's degree (B.
.
A.
) in business administration or finance from a four-year college or university and/or equivalent combination of education, training and related work experience.
At least seven (7) years of related experience in lending management is required, and at least five (5) or more years at a management position in a financial institution is preferred.
The candidate should also have strong verbal and written communication skills, project management expertise and have current knowledge of all federal and state laws/regulations to ensure compliance.
