ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Facilities Technician.
The Facilities Technician is expected to perform a wide variety of duties to maintain, repair and install equipment and physical structures.
Performs minor electrical repairs, plumbing maintenance, carpentry repairs, HVAC maintenance and repairs.
Supports Special Events when necessary by moving tables, chairs, bleachers and similar activities.
Responds to emergency situations during and after hours.

Position Summary Details Pay: $35/HR+ The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position.

This position requires a combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to maintenance.
You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing equipment and systems to contribute to the overall functionality and safety of the facility.
Essential Duties: Conduct regular inspections of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Identify and troubleshoot issues with HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and other facility systems.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns or malfunctions.
Diagnose and repair issues with building systems, machinery, and infrastructure.
Execute repairs in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime.
Ensure that all systems and equipment meet safety regulations and guidelines.
Conduct safety inspections and address any potential hazards.
Collaborate with relevant departments to implement safety protocols.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status.
Document and report any issues that may impact the overall functionality of the facility.
Work closely with other facility staff, including custodians, security personnel, and management.
Communicate effectively with external contractors for specialized repairs or projects.
Be available for emergency on-call duty to address urgent facility issues.
Implement emergency response procedures when necessary.
Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements in facility operations.
Stay informed about new technologies and industry best practices.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training is a plus.
Proven experience as a Facility Technician or similar role.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
