We are seeking a Community Grief Counselor to join our Bereavement Team in our Marin location.
This person will provide individual counseling services and facilitate groups for community counseling clients coping with issues of grief and loss.
By the Bay Health follows all CDPH vaccine requirements for healthcare personnel.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:
Provide grief counseling services to community members including outreach, assessment, treatment planning, intervention, education and referral.
Facilitate grief support groups.
Set appropriate fee for services; collect and process payment for services in compliance with organization policies and procedures.
Screen potential group members for appropriateness for a support group.
Make appropriate referrals for those not ready for a group.
Tech savvy and bi-lingual in Spanish, Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus!
Education/Experience:
Master degree in the area of mental health from an accredited university.
Minimum of two years clinical experience, preferably in a health care setting providing clinical services in the areas of life-threatening and chronic illness, grief and loss, individual, family and group therapy.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Licensed MFT, LCSW or LPCC is required.
Current California Driver’s License and automobile insurance that meets State of California requirements, if driving a car.
Pay Range:
$30 - $40 hourly
Session Rates:
$70 - $116
