The Assistant Nurse Manager functions as a part of a leadership team designed to plan, organize, and control the health care process for applicable patient populations through the unit level management of assigned clinical process while assuming the responsibility and accountability for assigned shift operations.
Continually works toward achieving patient satisfaction, productivity, financial and operational objectives.
The Assistant Nurse Manager coordinates unit responsibilities, and supervises and assigns duties to unit staff.
Reports directly to the Department Manager.
Responsible for directing the patient care provided and the performance of unit associates on the respective shift.
Responsibilities include: the staffing and scheduling, supervision, mentoring, and clinical guidance of nursing associates on the respective unit, and fiscal, clinical, and quality improvement oversight of the daily operations of the unit.
Serves as a leader in Continuous Process Improvement activities.
