*DSD /IP Nurse Come join our GREAT team!*
We are looking for a Director of Staff Development / Infection Prevention Nurse to join our team!
Requirements: Valid LVN License in good standing; DSD certificate collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, treating all residents with dignity and respect, communicating effectively with all staff, residents and family members.
Some of the duties include:
* Develop and monitor the goals and objectives of the in-service trainings for the facility
* Interviewing, hiring and orienting new employees
* Creating and maintaining records and reports pertinent to in-service requirements
* Partnering with Administrator and DON to meet daily staffing and PPD goals
* Reviewing and creating daily staffing schedule
* Attending meetings and serving on committee's as required
* Ensuring that all staff attend and participate in in annual OSHA and CDC in-service training programs for hazard communication, TB management, and bloodborne pathogens standard
* Responsible for providing direct patient care when not performing DSD duties
* Representing the department at and participate in top level meetings
* Implementing recommendations from the Quality Assessment and Assurance Committee as they relate to the educational needs of the facility
* Maintaining a positive and calm disposition when communicating with staff, residents, family, visitors, government entities, etc.
* Following Infection and Control policies and procedures
* Reporting any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or other hazardous materials to a supervisor immediately
* Protecting each resident's file and data with confidentially per HIPAA standards
* Abiding with all facility policies and procedures including not disclosing user ID codes and passwords
*Requirements:*
* LVN license
* Experience in a skilled nursing facility
* APIC Certification in infection control
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.
00 - $50.
00 per hour
