The Judicial Council of California is accepting applications for the position of Administrative Coordinator in the Human Resources office.
The Administrative Coordinator will support the Judicial Branch Worker’s Compensation Program (JBWCP) Advisory Committee, the workers’ compensation unit, the integrated disability management unit, and the classification and compensation unit.
This position: coordinates the purchase of ergonomic equipment and assists with the ordering process, develops content for the HR wellness portal, and ensures employee compliance through the tracking of Form 700 statements.
The role is responsible for the units’ purchasing and invoicing activities and works with stakeholders to coordinate the process.
This non-supervisory position plays a central role in maintaining critical functions for various human resources programs and supporting staff across multiple human resources units.

The successful candidate will be expected to work in the Judicial Council’s San Francisco or Sacramento office; hybrid work options for employees who live in areas surrounding these locations may be considered.
Responsibilities Provides administrative support to the JBWCP Advisory Committee and its subcommittees: Prepares and assembles meeting materials/agenda from presenters and unit staff; organizes, duplicates, and distributes materials as necessary.
Arranges and assists with travel arrangements including assisting committee/subcommittee members with flight bookings and reimbursement procedures and setting up and processing all expense filling.
Handles meeting space and catering logistics, including meeting space reservation and setup, audiovisual coordination, budgeting for and preparing catering orders, and providing onsite administrative and technical support.
Provides administrative support to the Workers’ Compensation, Integrated Disability Management, and Classification & Compensation units: Drafts and sends routine emails to JBWCP members announcing trainings and seminars.
Takes minutes for monthly and weekly team meetings with the Risk Consultant and Third-Party Administrator in support of unit initiatives.
Schedules unit meetings and conference calls between unit staff, members, and program vendors.
Ergonomic equipment processing and program support: Monitors the ergonomic inbox and forwards request to staff for triage and next steps.
Coordinates ergonomic equipment ordering process for Judicial Council offices.
Participates in recurring meetings with the ergonomic provider account manager.
Maintains ergonomic database in PeopleSoft and SharePoint.
Serves as the subject matter expert on the Judicial Council’s wellness program/portal: Communicates with wellness providers to advertise, coordinate, and develop wellness webinars for Judicial Council staff.
Updates the Wellness Portal on SharePoint, creates articles, advertises resources, and researches wellness events at the request of the Manager.
Develops and prepares the monthly HR Announcements newsletter.
Collects, tracks, and monitors receipt of Form 700 statements for Judicial Council members and employees: Scans, organizes, and files Statements of Economic Interest.
Confirms receipt of Form 700, FPPC-1, and responds to initial inquiries.
Follows up and obtains forms from delinquent respondents.
Serves as the central point of contact for all financial-related activities of the units: Coordinates payment of invoices and CalCard statements in FI$Cal.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, preferably in human resources, business administration, psychology, or a directly related field that would provide the knowledge and skills necessary for the assigned area.
An additional four years of professional human resources experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree.
Or, additional directly related experience and/or education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
