*About the organization: *Compass Family Services is a 100+ year old nonprofit working on the front lines of San Francisco’s homeless crisis.
We provide families experiencing or at risk of homelessness with comprehensive support to address immediate needs and ensure long-term success.
*About the Program: *Compass Behavioral Health Services (CBHS) provides trauma-informed therapy to Compass families.
Our approach involves training and education, supervision and support, attention to self-care for both the individual and the organization, a focus on creating a welcoming and safe environment, and development of policies and procedures that reflect our understanding of how trauma impacts families.
*Compensation:* $70,000 - $80,000 annually *Schedule: *Full time, Monday - Friday, primarily during standard business hours *Location: *37 Grove St.
, San Francisco and at other sites in the community.
Fully on site for first three months, then option to work remotely one day per week *Organizational Core Competencies: *Accountable / Adaptable / Client-centered / Collaborative / Committed to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging / Resourceful *Responsibilities:* * With Clinical Director, develop recovery and treatment activities to support families impacted by substance use * Assess client needs and strengths in support of health and recovery.
* Work as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary treatment team.
* Consult with Case managers to support their work with clients impacted with SUD to maintain their housing.
* Maintain an assigned caseload of at least 15 clients seeking substance use treatment and mental health treatment.
* Work with Impact and Learning Team to develop tracking system and data entry.
Responsible for documenting all individual and group counseling sessions.
* Work with the Clinical Director to complete quarterly and yearly reports to the grantor.
* Facilitate weekly group counseling sessions focused on substance use recovery, trauma recovery, addressing mental health symptoms, and other personal change topics.
* Facilitate groups for families impacted by substance use.
* Assist clients in navigating systems of care while providing a supportive treatment environment.
* Link clients with available internal and external resources to develop/maintain treatment and transition plans.
* Collaborate with CPS and Family Treatment Court as indicated.
* Be available for crisis intervention and to assist clients who have relapsed and may need modifications to their treatment plan.
* Identify concerns and make referrals to other specialists when needed.
* Provide educational support and consultation on harm reduction and other recovery models to the Compass Community.
*Qualifications:* * Graduate of clinical Master’s or PsyD Program in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
* Thorough knowledge of homelessness, mental health, substance abuse, HIV and cultural diversity issues.
* Strong knowledge of Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Care, and Harm Reduction models.
* Good knowledge of community and support service resources for special needs populations.
* Excellent communication skills, professional demeanor, sound judgment, and strong organizational skills * Deep commitment to and demonstrated success discussing, integrating, and promoting diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging throughout a complex and dynamic organization.
* Experience with successful program implementation and design * Ability to work in fast-paced and high-stress environments * Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse staff, families, and communities * Outstanding work habits: punctual, reliable, cooperative, team-oriented.
* Excellent writing and organizational skills * Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft and Google platform *Compensation and Benefits:* * Salary range: $35.

02 hourly, equivalent to $70,000 - $80,000 annually.
Non-exempt postion.
* Paid time off: just under 4 weeks of vacation your first year, just under 5 in your second.
Also paid holidays, sick time, family leave, time off for education.
* Insurance: health, dental and vision insurance are fully covered by Compass for employees and dependent children.
We also provide long term disability and life insurance.
