We are looking for a caring caregiver to join this amazing team!
This is an opportunity to work under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Nurse Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Floor Nurse, the Caregiver performs care services for residents, including but not limited to:
* Assists residents to ensure that their cleanliness, grooming, nourishment, rest, activity, and elimination are in a manner conducive to the residents comfort and safety.
* Keeps alert to the residents; conditions and reports changes in the residents attitude, appearance, behavior, and physical ability to the Charge or Floor Nurse.
* Provides a suitable environment for residents by giving attention to cleanliness, ventilation, lighting, and furniture arrangements.
* Assists residents in their recreational and social activities as needed.
* Promptly answers call signals.
* Promotes restorative nursing care as directed and instructed for individual residents.
* Assumes group and dining room duties as assigned.
* Transports residents to and from activities and appointments.
* Records pertinent information about the residents.
* Recognizes and respects the individual emotional, social, and cultural needs of residents, including their religious beliefs.
* Preserves the dignity and self-respect of all residents at all times.
* Practices confidentiality about the residents and nursing care activities.
* Practices conservation of equipment and supplies, keeping them clean and ready to use.
Reports any equipment and supply needs to the Supervisor.
* Responds promptly to emergencies.
* Attends Orientation and In-Service Training Programs as scheduled and maintains current, active CNA Certificate (if you come as a CNA).
* Communicates in English when speaking with or providing care to a resident.
May speak the residents native language if this enhances the communication process.
* Must be available to work on weekends.
*QUALIFICATIONS: *Minimum job requirements include:
* Ability to speak English clearly and to write legibly.
* Must be able to understand and follow established procedures, directions and instructions in written and verbal form.
* Ability to lift, walk and stand for long periods of time.
* Ability to communicate effectively orally and to write legibly.
* Must be able to work well under pressure, calmly and effectively responding to emergencies and unexpected problems.
* Must be able to anticipate and resolve potential problems.
* CNA (preferred but not required).
* Experience as a caregiver.
