Job Overview This is a union position.
The Residential Step Down Program is located at 214 Haight Street San Francisco County.
It’s a Men’s transitional housing program for individuals that have completed a minimum of 30 days residential substance use disorder treatment.
The RSD promotes the wellness and recovery of individuals with substance use and related disorders.
Residential step-down programs are sub-acute, short-term residential facilities that provide coaching and support in a 24-hour staffed, open home-like environment.
RSD provides temporary, drug and alcohol-free environment to residents that are actively engaged in outpatient services for medically necessary SUD treatment provided to the client off-site.
The goal is for the residents to find employment, housing and become self-sufficient while continuing to work on their recovery.
The program Administrative Coordinator is responsible for clerical and administrative support for the Program.
Providing high quality customer service, the Administrative Coordinator ensures that the administrative needs of the program are met and in compliance with agency policies and procedures including health and safety responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities Administrative Responsibilities: Provides clerical support, including data entry, typing, copying, maintaining a current client pop-sheet and other responsibilities.
Pulls reports as directed by facility director.
Fills out forms, files, and updates logs.
Responsible for stocking supplies.
Greets visitors directs them to destinations.
Resolves problems with facility equipment (i.
e.
, telephones), provides welcome packets for new staff and coordinates with Supervisor/Manager to ensure all equipment needs and resources are in place for new staff onboarding.
Maintains staff schedule up to date.
Treatment Setting Responsibilities: Performs periodic house runs and monthly fire drills to ensure and maintain the safety and security of the facility.
Documents client updates and incidents in the facility log daily and/or Welligent.
Coordinates with the Food Services department and the Program Supervisor to assign job functions to clients.
Performs crisis intervention and communicates with treatment team as unforeseen situations arise and documents on Welligent when anything arises related to clients.
Attends required trainings and meetings.
Trains facility staff on Health and Safety procedures.
NEXUS Responsibilities: Oversees NEXUS, and is responsible for managing visitor and client entry into the facility ensuring that door is never left unattended.
Only staff members are responsible for managing entrance into the facility.
And, other duties as assigned.
Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • High School Diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree preferred.
2 years or more experience in an administrative role.
• First Aid and CPR Certified within 30 days of employment.
• Valid California Driver’s License and automobile insurance.
• Experience working successfully with diverse populations specifically with issues of substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, and other potential barriers to economic self-sufficiency.
• Knowledge of gender-responsive, trauma informed, and co-occurring treatment.
• Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office applications and internet applications.
• Ability to work within a frequently changing project scope while maintaining overall direction and structured priorities.
• Self-motivated, dependable, creative, and proactive approach to work; understands importance of working independently and within a team environment.
• Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining integrity and accuracy of data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
• Bilingual desired.
