We are looking for an Engineering Leader to function as the right hand person to our CEO and take over the day to day leadership of our engineering team.
You are a dynamic leader comfortable in an early stage startup beginning a period of hyper-growth.
*Duties and Responsibilities*
* Own the team's technical roadmap, production, and leadership to define and execute against Bluespace’s goals and objectives.
* Lead a team of engineers to solve the core perception and prediction problems in autonomy.
* Initiate and foster close cross-functional collaborations internally and externally.
* Have a clear and direct impact and ownership of products.
* Grow the team to be world-class and foster a culture of openness, collaboration, and innovation.
* Demonstrated ability to digest and use new technology quickly and strategically.
* Consistent track record of successfully making progress amidst ambiguity.
* Strong C++ software development background
* Experience developing software under real-time performance requirements.
* Experience with perception software stack for self-driving or similar mobile robotics applications.
*Qualification and Experience*
* MS or PhD in computer science, robotics, or relevant engineering discipline.
* Five+ years experience leading a team in a high-growth startup.
* Experience managing and launching products.
* Experience driving cross-team collaborations.
* Passionate about advancing perception for all autonomy.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* You have proven people management and leadership skills and a consistent track record of mentoring and coaching team members.
* You are passionate about creating and fostering good engineering practices and processes.
*Extra Credit*
* Hands-on experience in working with vehicle dynamics software for production vehicles.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,000.
00 - $225,000.
