Alien Cocoon, or a Chandelier Part (Oakland)

Our home under renovation was broken into.
They stole some used lighting fixtures that we planned to install.
And they left behind this mysterious object.
The box says Louis Poulsen.
The internet says part of a complex chandelier.
It was in an old box, like somebody planned to install it someday.

Although we're curious to see the alien creature that might hatch from this strange object.
