A major national law firm is seeking to onboard a junior-level Intellectual Property Associate to work on Patent Prosecution matters in its San Francisco office.

*Experience:*
* Attorneys must have 1+ years of patent prosecution experience and a technology background in computer science, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, and/or electrical engineering.
* Applicants with experience in one or more of the following would be preferred: hardware and devices, software, database technology, artificial intelligence, wireless, and image and/or signal processing.
* The prosecution of patent families and exercise extreme attention to detail.
* Attorneys should have the ability to balance and prioritize multiple competing priorities and responsibilities.
* Associates should have a high level of professionalism in working and engaging with demanding clients.
* Associates should have excellent academic credentials, as well as superb analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
* All candidates must be registered with the USPTO and be licensed to practice law in California.
*Responsibilities:*
* Reviewing invention disclosure documents and conducting invention disclosure meetings.
* Conducting prior searches, reviewing references, and analysing patentability.
* Drafting patent applications.
* Reviewing USPTO office actions, formulating response strategies, conducting examiner interviews, and drafting and filing responses.
* Managing U.
S.
and foreign dockets.
* Analysing patents in connection with due diligence and/or freedom to operate analyses.
* Collaborating with other team members in different practices.
