Litigation and Coverage Attorney

Litigation and Coverage Attorney Wilson Elser’s San Francisco office is currently seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney with insurance coverage experience and motivation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, seasoned attorney to further their career with a fast-paced national law firm.
The ideal candidate will have litigation background with premises and habitability claims as well as construction claims and defect litigation experience, along with writing coverage opinions and acting as monitoring counsel.
Some subset of these, with interest and willingness to learn other areas is required.
A successful schedule for these positions could be either a traditional full-time role or an abbreviated work week.

The Position Qualifications JD from an accredited law school Admitted to practice in the state of California Admission in other state is a plus; with strong preferences for Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, Washington 3+ years’ experience advising carriers and litigating insurance coverage disputes Experience with Federal and State Court litigation Familiarity with insurance company products for construction projects, including OCIPs and AI recovery cases.
Excellent writing and research skills and the ability to solve difficult insurance coverage problems Responsibilities Coverage opinions and related correspondence that are correct and timely Litigation of cases in Federal and State Court including all law and motion and trial as necessary Negotiating settlements of cases alongside clients of small to large cases with difficult coverage issues Work with other partners on non-coverage related litigation Why Should You Apply? Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
